Blackheath Village Society is
a registered charity, whose objects are to promote
the benefit of Blackheath and the neighbourhood.

The Village Hall, along with
other notable buildings and houses in the village,
was designed by the eminent architect Charles
Harrison Townsend. It started its life in 1897
as a school by day and a social club in the evening.
Today it has a stage and is well equipped for
badminton, table tennis, short mat bowls and many
other activities including private functions.

Blackheath Cricket Club. League
Cricket has made a welcome return to Blackheath
as the Club has joined the I'Anson league and
will be fielding 2 teams every Saturday. The Colts
section has over a 150 colts on the books. In
2006, the Club won the best-kept cricket ground
in Surrey award from the Surrey Playing fields
Association.

St Martin’s Church
In the heart of the village lies the unusual,
yet beautiful Arts and Crafts church of Blackheath.
It holds one service a week varying from a traditional
Sung Holy Communion to a Family Service aimed
at the many young children in the village. The
services are well supported by the Blackheath
community and others from neighbouring villages.
Services start at 10am, except Sung Evensong at
6pm on the third Sunday of the month.
